The 53-year-old Carlisle was an ideal combination of grace and gusto, beginning with more mellow songs like Circle in the Sand and Vision of You, before raising the tempo and energy rapidly with her smash hits like Leave a Light On and Heaven is a Place on Earth.
Pop duo Bananarama then took to the stage to woo the crowd with "mambo moves" to songs such as I Heard a Rumour and Love in the First Degree.
